The Adani Group and global technology major Google announced a collaboration on Thursday, advancing their sustainability goals and adding more energy to India’s grid.

According to a company statement, Adani will supply Google with clean energy from its new solar-wind hybrid project in the world’s largest renewable energy plant in Khavda, Gujarat.

The statement further stated that this new project is expected to start commercial operations in the third quarter of 2025.

It said Adani has proven capabilities in delivering large-scale wind, solar, hybrid and energy storage projects and

is well-positioned to provide customized renewable energy solutions to commercial and industrial customers.

“Going forward, Adani plans to increase the focus on merchant and C&I segments to help decarbonize industries,” the statement said.

It added that this collaboration would help advance Google’s 24/7 carbon-free energy goal by ensuring cloud services and operations in India are supported by clean energy.
