Masdar and TotalEnergies Partner on Green Hydrogen-to-SAF Project 

Masdar and TotalEnergieshave joined forces to develop a green hydrogen-to-SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) project in Abu Dhabi. This ambitious initiative aims to decarbonize the aviation and maritime sectors by capturing and utilizing CO2 emissions. The project follows the successful methanol to SAF test flight conducted during COP28 in 2023, demonstrating the feasibility of sustainable aviation fuels. By leveraging green hydrogen, the project seeks to provide a cleaner alternative to conventional fuels, supporting the global shift towards sustainable energy solutions and reducing the carbon footprint of these critical sectors.
