Hitachi ZeroCarbon Launches All-in-1 Platform to Speed Fleet Electrification
The new suite of solutions provides end-to-end support for fleet operators at any stage of their electrification journey.
Hitachi ZeroCarbon launched a comprehensive electric vehicle fleet management platform on Tuesday aimed at accelerating the decarbonization of commercial transport as Europe prepares for a zero-emission vehicle mandate by 2035.
The new suite of solutions, unveiled under the Hitachi ZeroCarbon brand, provides end-to-end support for fleet operators at any stage of their electrification journey—from strategic planning and financing to real-time charging and battery optimization.
“With only a decade remaining to transition to zero-emission fleets, businesses are facing a complex and costly challenge,” said Mike Nugent, Chief Revenue Officer at Hitachi ZeroCarbon. “Our new platform simplifies this journey with bespoke services that address the full lifecycle of EV fleet adoption.”
A Unified Platform for Smarter Fleet Decarbonization
The newly launched suite includes several key offerings:
- ZeroCarbon Fleet, a management system that ensures reliable charging, protects battery health and helps fleets access new energy revenue streams;
- ZeroCarbon Charge, a 24/7 managed service offering real-time vehicle monitoring, load balancing and tariff optimization to reduce energy costs;
- ZeroCarbon BatteryManager, an advanced analytics platform designed to maximize battery lifespan and residual value;
- ZeroCarbon Strategy, a consultancy arm that supports fleet owners with total cost of ownership calculations, site assessments, financing access and energy monetization.
These tools build on lessons from Optimise Prime, the world’s largest commercial EV trial involving over 8,000 vehicles, which Hitachi led in partnership with major UK fleet operators and technology providers.
Customer Results and Global Reach
One of Hitachi’s early adopters, Posten Bring, cited tangible operational benefits from using the ZeroCarbon Charge service.
“We achieved complete visibility into the health and performance of our key battery assets,” said Stig Tvergrov of Posten Bring. “The service integrated smoothly with our existing infrastructure and helped us advance our climate goals without disruption.”
Hitachi ZeroCarbon currently manages over 1,000 EV assets across Europe, North America, and Asia, offering technology-agnostic integration and round-the-clock support.
The platform is designed to serve a broad range of fleets, including public transport, utilities, haulage and last-mile delivery.
With this launch, Hitachi positions itself as a key player in the global push toward electrified transport, offering a seamless and scalable path for fleets navigating an increasingly regulated landscape.
